      Hi Louis,
Actually, parts of The Godfather were filmed on site in East Harlem, on the 500 block of East 118th Street, right off Pleasant Avenue. The photos that I posted were taken in East Harlem. Also, I have met Gianni Russo who was an actor in the movie, and he thanked me for this post. 🙂

I was there when Sonny beat the crap out of his brother in law by the fire hydrant. Then James Caan chatted with us for a bit. The cast would eat at Patsy’s I met a few of them when my father was the chef there. They did not film in Patsy’s. I wanted to meet Al Pacino but never did. 🙂 Lived there til 1979 above Patsy Pizzeria.
